MICHAEL MOORE'S WEEK AHEAD : MONDAY 23 - FRIDAY 27 FEBRUARY 2009

Here are some highlights of what I will be doing this week:

"On Monday morning I will be taking part in a meeting of the Hawick Development Group to discuss the economic development of the town. Following this I will be travelling down to Westminster for the start of the parliamentary week.

"On Tuesday morning I will be attending a meeting with the Governor of Helmund Province, Afghanistan in my role as Liberal Democrat Shadow International Development Secretary. I will then attend Liberal Democrat Shadow Cabinet. In the afternoon I will be in the chamber for Foreign Office Questions. Later on I will attend an event held by RNIB to promote audio description for television programmes. This was one of the features that I pressed to be included in the set-top boxes provided by the Digital Switchover Help Scheme.

"On Wednesday morning I have a series of regular meetings with my team before Prime Minister's Questions at noon. In the afternoon I will be addressing a conference on digital television switchover.

"On Thursday morning I will be in the chamber for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Questions. Later on I will be travelling back home to the Borders.

"On Friday morning I will be meeting the Borders Sports Ring followed by an update meeting with representatives of the National Farmers Union. Following this I will be holding a surgery in the CAB offices in Hawick between 4.30pm and 5.30pm."
